From the airport “Guglielmo Marconi (Bologna) International Airport” (IATA: BLQ):
There is a bus shuttle “Aerobus - BLQ” (http://aerobus.bo.it/en) taking you from the airport’s main exit to the railway station. Buses depart regularly (first trip from the airport is at 5:30 am, and the last trip is at 12:15 am; first trip from the railway station is at 5:00 am, and the last trip is at 11:35 pm). From 7:00 am to 9:30 pm there are buses every 11 minutes. The ride takes about 15 minutes. You can buy the ticket (6 Eu) online or at vending machines (cash – Maestro – credit card) at the airport and at the railway station (only from the station you can buy the ticket also on the bus – only cash).

Once at the station, follow the instructions below to get to the hotel.

Especially if you arrive late you may prefer a taxi. There should be taxis parked outside the main exit, otherwise call the taxi company COTABO +39 051 372727. The ride to the city center costs about 20 Eu.

From the railway station “Bologna Centrale”:
The hotel is around 1 Km away. If you decide to walk it takes about 10-15 minutes (see map below): cross the street in front of the station’s main entrance and go left towards Via dell’Indipendenza. Walk on Via dell’Indipendenza until you reach Via delle Moline on your left. Take Via delle Moline and the hotel will be on the left hand side of the street.

If you prefer, there are buses running on Via dell’Indipendenza (from the bus stop ‘Autostazione’, which you reach after crossing Piazza XX Settembre, to the bus stop ‘VIII Agosto’; buses 11, 27, A, C), or you can go by taxi (on the station square, or call the taxi company COTABO +39 051 372727).

How to get to the conference venue:

Our workshop will take place in the Istituto di Filologia Classica e Italianistica, Via Zamboni 32, 40126 Bologna (http://www.ficlit.unibo.it/it/dipartimento/english-version). We will be in Aula Guglielmi (1st floor).

The hotel is just around the corner: walk down Via delle Moline to the Theater, and take a left there into Via Zamboni (crossing Piazza Verdi).


If you need to come by bus from the railway station, the fastest route is with bus lines 36 and 37, leaving from the bus stop ‘Stazione Centrale’ (in front of the station square, across the street) and taking you to the bus stop ‘Irnerio’ on Via Irnerio. From there you shortly walk in the direction of the bus, reach Via Centotrecento on your right, take it and then continue to Via del Guasto, which takes you to Via Zamboni 32.
